Reception Pictures

After the ceremony, we went for some Karaoke. As you can see, this is Allya's Crew - Elizabeth, Yvette, Allya, Audrey, and Claire (from right to left).
I took this to be a little artistic. This is what we were blessed with - as we sat in our throne.
The bride and groom
I said my goodbyes to everyone, as did the rest of the family. As you can see, I wasn't the only Orang putei (white boy). But, I was one of 3 out of almost 160 people.

More than just a speech - I was kind of pushed to do a song. The live band only knew south east asian songs - until they asked me if I wanted to sing, "Sway". I told them I didn't know it. They told Allya that I should know that - it's a popular song. So, Allya heard it in Bahasa - Turns out it was, "I swear". Well, I didn't know that very well. So, I asked them what kind of American songs they knew - Well, they knew, "I just called... to say... I love you". Unfortunately, that's the only part of the song I knew. So, I did an impromptu song. Had the crowd laughing...

We began the reception with a traditional kompang music (youtube it) that led us into the reception hall. As you can see, we were led in a procession with Allya's cousin as my escort, and Kaileen, our sister-in-law as Allya's. Allya will update with the other things you see - but, nonetheless, this is the typical and traditional procession.

Before we started the meal, we had a Bersanding - which is where the elders come to give us traditional blessings. This is Allya's grandmother.
As is my style, I had to give a speech. I thanked all of the people that made it possible for us to have this special day happen.
There was a traditional cake cutting. I did the American tradition of stuffing cake in Allya's face... I don't think it was the Malaysian custom, based on the gasps. However, it is what I did.
Some of Allya's best friends were in attendance. Yvette and Elizabeth were some of her best friends growing up. There were many more in attendance.
