Staying out from the heat

This afternoon, Pearl and I went to the mall to meet up with Monika and Mathew. That little boy has grown so much since the last time I saw him (I think it was a month before I had Pearl). So it's been awhile. He looks more like his father, Jon.

As usual, this mommy forgot to bring her camera. Fortunately, Monika did. I'll post the picture as soon as I get it from her. There was a lot to pushing the stroller around, which is fine with me.

The crazy heat got to us, so I got her little duckie bath tub out. By doing that I need to keep her busy. So as usual, she in her work station and I put on her favorite DVD.

SHe likes the water.

Daddy did a good job taking this picture and making her smile.

And at the end of the day, it's always nice to take a little cat nap. It didn't last long. She's on her side/back, that's why.

Idyllwild 3days 2 nights

Sorry this took awhile. Silly me, I forgot to bring the camera. So I took some pictures using Keith and Melissa's.

The weekend was perfect! It was beautiful and we had good companies. It is too bad Chris's wife, Iris and son, Dylan couldn't join us. They had to fly to Mexico because Iris's mom had to undergo surgery. We hope and pray she's alright. We met her mom and she's a very nice person. Overall Chris's family are really nice.

This is the fantastic log house we were staying in. 3 bedrooms 2 baths, high ceiling, massive fireplace, and the best part, peace and QUIET! We were totally far away from the city. All I can say it was 'Vunderful with a V'.

Anyway, back to the weekend trip. We were rooming with a bat, didn't realize it was there until the next morning. So Melissa put out some sliced pear for the little guy. He left the last day we were there.

Day2:While Chris had to drive down to work (I am guess-timating 2 hours away from where we are), the boys (Keith and Jeremy) went out rock climbing. The babies (Cairn and Pearl) and the mothers (Melissa and I) went to the little town. I love Cairn, he just loves the camera. Look at his big smile! It's like he knows I am taking a picture of him. Pearl is just pooped out. She was in and out of her nappy time.

This picture was taken towards the end of the day. Yes, we brought her station with her. As long as it helps me wear her out without me carrying her, I love this item!!

Day3: Very early in the morning, I think about 2:30am, the guys(Jeremy, Keith and Chris) were still up playing poker until they heard someone going through our trash. It's not some sicko paparazzi snooping some dirty secret, but we found someone dressed in strips and mask. A huge racoon. I think they tried scaring him off by spraying windex, but he kept doing his thing. Brave little guy.

In the true morning where the sun is shining, the guys were still asleep in bed. I think they called it quits at 4:30am. It must have been some great game.

Well, Babykin woke me up early and demanded some breakfast. She had some banana with oats which she loves and needed a break. So I lay her down hoping to give her some space to exercise and stretch. I guess she was still full because I caught her sucking her thumb.

Oh yah, the day before, we had problems with the hot water towards the evening. I think I was the only who took a super-duper cold shower. Felt super fresh after that. Good thing it's summer.

Here is the whole gang before we depart from this lovely home. We are coming back here soon. This time I'll make sure I bring the camera.

Pearl's having a conversation

Friday, June 26,2009
Hi! So Jeremy taught me(Allya) how to use this. Also, I have been trying to upload this video in Facebook and gmail with no luck. Hopefully I get this thing right and rolling.

Isn't she a doll?

Alrighty. I got to pack up for this weekend. I'll make sure to bring the camera and keep you posted!! Have a nice weekend.

Climbing in Holcomb

Keith Church, Brad Carper, Nick From Ohio, and me

2 guys from Ohio, and 2 that claimed they lived there for 10+ years all go rock climbing in the southern california mountains... and no one got hurt (Well, Nick did a bit from trying to jump on to the rock face). I guess the water didn't get to us as much as other people...

Anyway, we all went out for a great day. No rattlers or scorpions seen - But, I did feel a raindrop as I led a 5.4 climb (The gold standard - I've been trying to do it for awhile, and finally grew some cajones to do it!). We found 2 different mines, 1 of which we went into. Carper didn't bring his HD video camera, which suprised all of us, but he managed to be behind the still camera plenty. I also thank Keith for sending me some of these photos.

All around, we had a great day!

Brad At The Top

Yours truly leading the gold standard
