Family, Family... and yeah... more Family...

As if we couldn't get enough bringing another life into this world, we had to bring our mothers into this exciting time of our lives - and have them stay with us. They say a mother is always a mother, and it is amazingly true. Even after 27 years of life, my mother seems to, lovingly, want to take care of me in any way possible. So, with this exciting time in my life, she wants to take the initiative to change the baby, feed the baby, and still provide for me. In my independant ways, I try to explain to her that I don't need it any more. Ahhh, how I miss the rebeliousness of my childhood - but, I got to relive it while she was here. However, I learned something... My mother will always be my mother, and I need to start taking advantage of it, instead of fighting it. So, Allya and I had her make her specialty 7 layer desert bars. Though I don't like Coconut, Allya seemed to be in heaven. Moreover, my mother wanted to be a mother and provide for us, so she bought us an amazing house warming present of a couch! Thanks Mom.

On the other side of things, Allya's mother has been amazing to us. She has cooked, cleaned (both the apartment and the baby), and has been very kind to us while staying here. I think the only down side to her being is the fact she is falling in love with her grand daughter, so much so, she wants to take her back home to Malaysia - That won't be happening... Yet... Wait until she reaches 14 or 15... Or boys start coming around...

Cousin's Ron and Vanessa came to visit over the past weekend and fell in love with Pearl. They brought a beautiful gift of a mobile - And it works perfectly, as it quiets Pearl down enough to sleep. With Aunt Beate and Uncle Arnold's gift of a transceiver (okay, just a receiver), we are able to monitor her ongoings. I think the joke will be had for months to come of me going in there and saying in a baby voice, "mommy, I made doodie".

Nan and Aunt Angela came over with Mikaela and Malea (sorry girls for spelling your name's wrong), and they fell in love with her! Malea was desperate to do something while visiting, so she started to try and play guitar. After unsuccessful attempts, she disappeared for a bit. While the family was sitting around talking, we all noticed there was water running and dishes clanking in the kitchen. To everyone's suprise, Malea, aged 8, was doing the dishes for everyone. You know it's boring when you do the dishes - I awarded her with a payment, since she worked so hard. She received $6, five of which were paid in Canadian dollars. Little did she know, she suffered a loss of $1US in face value, as the Canadian currency has plummeted since it's bump above the dollar this past year.

Below are pictures with descriptions of the past events. To the family in Malaysia - Sorry for not updating. I will update more often for you all. I didn't know that people were that interested in reading my rants... Or, are you skipping over all of my writing, and just looking at pictures? Well, I'll never know.
